Troubleshooting Setup

If you are experiencing issues connecting your Client Agent to the Hub, please review the specific error codes below.

Error: "Simulated Data Mode"

Symptoms:

  • The dashboard shows a yellow badge saying "⚠️ Simulated Data".
  • Stats are static and do not reflect your actual site.

Cause: Your site has not successfully completed its first "Sync" with the Hub.

Solution:

  1. Go to the SEO & Content tab.
  2. Click the Run Live Audit button.
  3. This forces a fresh API call to the Hub. Once the audit returns real data, the "Simulated" badge will disappear on the next page refresh.

Error: "403 Forbidden" or "Invalid License"

Symptoms:

  • You cannot activate the plugin.
  • You receive a red error banner during setup.

Solutions:

  1. Check Domain: Ensure the domain you are installing on matches the domain you registered during purchase. (e.g., www.site.com vs site.com).
  2. Reset License: If you moved from Staging to Live, you must deactivate the license on Staging first.
  3. Contact Support: If the issue persists, your server IP might be flagged. Open a ticket with your License Key.

Error: "Billing Invalid" (Google Ads)

Symptoms:

  • You try to launch a campaign, but it fails immediately.
  • The error log says "Billing setup required."

Cause: You connected your Google Ads account, but you have not added a credit card directly to Google.

Solution: iSquared manages the ads, but Google charges you for the clicks.

  1. Log in to ads.google.com.
  2. Go to Tools & Settings > Billing.
  3. Add a valid payment method.
  4. Return to the iSquared Dashboard and click Launch Campaign again.

Error: "Email Going to Spam"

Symptoms:

  • You sent a test newsletter, but it arrived in the Junk folder.

Solution: This is usually a DNS issue.

  1. Ensure you have added the SPF and DKIM records provided in your Onboarding Email to your domain's DNS settings (Cloudflare/GoDaddy).
  2. Go to Settings > Notifications and ensure the "From Email" matches your website domain.
